Our track trips almost always start with a grocery store stop -- either at Hannaford's in Highland or at Price Chopper in Poughkeepsie (which is where we went today, en route to Stony Brook). I was somewhat startled to see senior captain Ashley Haynes in this little shopping buggy at the Chopper. My immediate reaction was, "oh no, she's hurt!" but that quickly changed to "come on, Ash ... really?" But then my thought process shifted to, "well, geez, she's saving her energy for the meet today!" Yeah. That sounds good. Let's go with THAT. Being the quick thinker that I am, I snapped this photo and promised to post it to the blog. So. Here you go!
