Fifth-year senior
Nicki Nesi ran a PR time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, falling just 0.02
short of Brittany Burns’ school record in the event, in a solid effort on
Thursday night at Penn. She finished with a hard and strong final lap, but some
of the middle laps were just a little off what we were hoping. Later in the
evening, Elizabeth Wasserman struggled in the 10km with a tight and stiff back
that hampered her ability to run a full and complete pace and effort. This was
a bummer. However! All was not lost, as we had two Marist Running Alums –
recent graduate Lizzy Peper and soon-to-be UPenn grad Kyle Heubner – visit and
hang out with us during the meet. Great to see them both. Once a Fox, always a
Fox.
