Congratulations to Joe Gorberg, father of soon to be graduating senior Bryn Gorberg (side note: typing those words are tinged with sadness), for his outstanding race at the Boston Marathon.
Despite the warmer than normal conditions, Joe was able to get to his pre-race goals with an outstanding time of 3:20:27, a nearly even-paced race (first half was run in 1:39:11). Joe averaged 7:39 per mile and placed 250th in the 50-54 age group.
As parents, we want to be role models for our children. What better way to be a role model for a student-athlete than by putting in a great effort as a marathon runner? Nicely done, Dad.
