It was a gutty but
ultimately disappointing race for Steven Rizzo in the 5,000 at Penn Relays on
Thursday night. Gutty in that he looked and raced strong through the first
3,200-meters. Disappointing in that the pace fell off dramatically over the
last third of the race. There are no excuses for this, but Rizz has been
working very hard academically and has been getting inconsistent sleep. Again,
it was a good effort with a not-so-good result. On to the next.
