Sophomore Emily Burns had a solid 2017 steeplechase debut in
pretty challenging conditions on Friday night in Princeton. The wind was
gusting pretty strong and it was quite chilly. She was just a few ticks off her
personal-best time and had a solid overall effort, placing fifth out of 16
competitors. Definitely worth the trip down to New Jersey, as she prepares for
bigger and better things in this event in the coming weeks. Nicely done.
