We were only in three events on Day 2 of the IC4A Championships, but we made the most out of our last time at the BU Track and Tennis Center. Glenmour Leonard-Osbourne took first place in the 60-meter dash in a narrow victory, diving across the line in first place in 6.80 seconds. It was his third race in 24 hours and he hung tough after enduring a difficult winter season of injury and illness. Glen is IC4A champion again! At the end of the afternoon, our 4x400 relay team proved that Saturday’s school-record performance was no fluke. The same quartet came back strong and nabbed the final scoring place (eighth) and once again broke the 3:20.00 barrier with a 3:19.94 clocking – and that was with third leg Roman Katona straining his hamstring early in his race, hanging on gamely and keeping the relay going. For those keeping score at home, that’s 11 points (Glen’s 10 and the relay’s 1), which tied your favorite Red Foxes for 26th place out of 42 scoring teams at the meet. Very, very neat!
