Several highlights on Day 1 of the meet:
--The 4x400 relay dipped under the 3:20 mark for the first time in school history, and they did it decisively! How decisively? 3:18.55 + they qualified for Sunday’s finals! The relay played out perfectly, with every leg doing its job to perfection (check out the splits above and below).
--Easton Eberwein ran a personal-best time in the open 400 (49.63) and then came back to anchor that sizzling 4x400. Highly neat!
--Glenmour Leonard-Osbourne is back and healthy in the 60-meter dash, where he took the top time in the preliminary and the semifinal, heading into Sunday morning’s final.
--Chris Paxis ran a personal-best in the mile and notched the second-fastest time in school history, just shy of Adam Vess’ school record in the event.
--Kieran Donnelly had another strong 5km race in what has been an outstanding freshman season for him.
Day 2 for the men will feature Glen in the 60 dash, the 4x400 relay, as well as the DMR and (possibly) Ramsey Little in the 3,000-meter run. Hoping for some final magic on the Magic Carpet.
