We’re very
excited to report that sprinter Glenmour Leonard-Osbourne has qualified for the
final of the 100-meter dash at Penn Relays. In this afternoon’s opening round
heats, Glen ran a school-record time of 10.36 seconds. This time was the
third-fastest of the 29 competitors in the field. The top 9 make finals. So …
Glen is IN! We’re very thrilled at this development. It is highly neat!
Also on Saturday!
Freshman racewalker Marissa Sciotto will be starting off the day with the
5,000-meter racewalk at Franklin Field. Then, later in the day, at 2:26p, Glen
will be in the 100 dash final.
On Thursday
night, distance runner Ramsey Little had a tough one out there at Penn in the
5km. He just couldn’t get into a rhythm and seemed out of sync the whole race,
placing 60th in the race in a subpar (for him) time of 14:42.44.
Ramsey has had a strong several months of track racing in 2022 and this is a
bummer of a result. Here’s hoping he can bounce back during championship season
in the coming weeks.
