Bryan Clay Invitational: 10km results


What a great series of texts to wake up to! Just a few hours prior to my usual early-rising time, Coach Chuck texted me the results, splits and photos from last night (early this morning, East Coast time!) at the Bryan Clay Invitational out in California, where several of our athletes are racing this week. Last night, it was graduate student Hayley Collins in the 10km, where she notched a personal-best time and ECAC qualifier, and also Marist Running Alum Spencer Johnson, now racing for the San Diego Track Club, also notching a PR time on the track. Spencer texted a bit later (earlier?) with this race report: “Race went very well! New PR – fell asleep a bit the last mile/mile and a half but it was extremely helpful having Chuck out there yelling splits, haven’t had that since college and it really helped me stay on pace as best I could.” Highly neat! We hope for similar positive splits from late-night West Coast races in the coming days.
