As with the men's race, the women's meet was very competitive and very deep compared to past years. Also, it was a bit warmer by the time the women hit the grassy course at the Crossings. Here are notes and quotes from women's head coach Chuck Williams:
Another strong debut from the class of 2026. For the second straight week team was led by a runner making their collegiate debut, this time Nora White. Also, strong races from classmates Christina DiOrio and Emily Litke. Overall, top 11 Marist finishers on the day were either freshmen or sophomores."Really proud of how well the women ran today at Siena. We closed some of the gaps from last week's season opener and we were strengthened by the return of some key runners. Looking forward to being at full strength when we return for the MAAC Championships and the potential this team has to be really strong at the end of the season ."
