Well, well. Our first bus to Boston today for the Terrier meet has had some issues. We left Marist, did our usual Hannaford's food stop and got on the road, only to be derailed by electrical issues on JTR Bus #110 (for those keeping score at home ...). Too bad. It's the sweet Marist Bus with leather seats and WiFi ... not that THAT matters. All that matters is getting to the meet on time. And, well, that's not happening. After playing hopscotch on the Thruway Berkshire extension for an excruciating hour or so -- driving for 5 minutes, stalling for 5 minutes, repeat, repeat -- we finally pulled over and conked out in Canaan, N.Y., and patiently waited for the backup bus.
We are now rolling along on JTR Bus 5020, hoping our loyal driver Andy can channel his inner Smokey and the Bandit and put the pedal to the metal so we can get to BU in time to not miss more events. Hey. It could be worse. It could be snowing.
