For the second year in a row, Marist Running
Alum Conor Shelley (now running for New York AC) won the Sayville 10-mile Run to the Brewery on Long Island.
Hmmm. Let’s see: Conor; Running; Beer. A potent combination indeed! His time was a bit slower than last year, but his effort was consistent. His first 5 miles
were run in 27:12.5 and his second 5 miles were completed in 27:41.6. His
overall time of 54:54.1 was tops among the 1,083 finishers. The above photo was
poached from Facebook. I was not there, but I think it’s a safe bet there were
no worries about Conor’s ability to rehydrate/dehydrate after the race.
