The phone rang promptly at 6:58 p.m., and it was Coach Terry
Horton on the line. Based on the time of the call, I knew it was either very
good news or not great news, regarding the Penn Relays packet pickup, which
concluded at 7 p.m. It was good news! Terry got to packet pickup just in time,
battling Philly rush hour traffic and making the deadline. Packet pickup for
track meets is by no means a glamorous job, but for Penn it is extremely important.
It is literally your ticket into Franklin Field. So we can rest easy knowing
that one of most important tasks of the long weekend has been completed. We
have a large and diverse group of athletes competing at Penn Relays, starting
bright and early Thursday with Debbie Boerke in the 400 hurdles. The rest of
the lineup is listed below (relay lineups are tentative). I will update things
here at Blog Central as I can, and we will have Coach Chuck manning the Twitter
feed as well.

just don't ever forget who your original race walker - never to finish a race was? That's right, Lurch.
