Alumni race report: Katie Messina's strong 10k in MA
Marist Running Alum Katie Messina posted a
strong road 10km on Sunday at the James Joyce Ramble in Dedham, Mass. She was
third out of 232 in the women’s 20-39 division in 36:29 (5:53 pace). Katie
reported that she ran a negative-split race and was passing runners throughout
the second 5km. She also reported that, in honor of Joyce, there were “people
in costume reading James Joyce literature on the course.” How cool is that? In
honor of rambling and James Joyce, here is a quote from him: “I am tomorrow, or
some future day, what I establish today. I am today what I established
yesterday or some previous day.”
