Congrats to Marist Running Alums who completed the Boston
Marathon on Monday:
--Ryan Fitzsimons, Class of 2012, now racing for Central Park Track Club, had a stellar effort. 2:45:01. 506 overall. 1:22:26 through the half. Boston PR by 12 minutes! In lousy conditions – rain, wind. To quote his Facebook status update: “Today was an epic battle with Mother Nature at the Boston Marathon. Over a 10 minute PR and exactly 12 minutes faster than last year’s Boston. I'll take it!! Thank you all for the love and support!!” You are welcome. Nicely done!
--David Swift, Class of 1995, now racing for the Middle Age
Machines (and Marist Alumni Racing Team). Mr. Bucket proved he’s still got it
at age 42. 3:06:31. 1:29:27 through the half. 595 in division.
--Tony Ferreri, dad of current team member Catherine
Ferreri, early-morning jogging partner (before I got hurt), battled through
calf issues and still finished with a strong time of 3:35:22.
--Rick Hankey, Class of 1988, racing on his birthday,
running for charity, 4:10:02.
To one and all: Nicely done!
