Colorful practice: Purple steeple eaters

It was a festive practice this morning/afternoon at the Vassar Track, as many of our athletes put in their final hard paces before the upcoming MAAC Championships this weekend at Monmouth. Of course, "festive" is easy when the sun is bright and warm and the temperatures soar to the 70s. Nothing feels better than great spring weather, especially after the chilly days last week. Here is a photo of "steeple siblings" Nicki Nesi and Jake Hensler, who inadvertently dressed similarly on this day in purple and black (what's with Jake's goofy grin anyway?) and did similar workouts in which they did some intervals over hurdles on the track. Both runners are steeplechase specialists and both will be racing the event on Saturday at MAAC. Here's hoping the sun shines on us all this weekend as it did on Wednesday at practice.
