It was a long, late journey (van pulled into driveway at 3a this morning) at the Valentine Invitational, which never fails to thrill. In case you missed it, Grant Fisher from Nike Bowerman TC ran an insanely fast 12:53.73 in the elite, seeding 5km – the fastest indoor time in USA history and fourth fastest indoor time all-time. Two other men (Moh Ahmed, 12:56.87 and Marc Scott, 12:57.08) broke 13 minutes as well. As usual, the Track and Tennis Center was ROCKING with energy. Think back to a year ago (I know, I know, I say that all the time!) and you appreciate such a scene even more. Also appreciated? The many strong performances from the men’s team, which are detailed below. Our final racer of the night, Ramsey Little, is now third all-time at 5km with a gutty effort in a very physical race. He’s getting closer. We’re all getting closer. On to MAACs next weekend …
