Wrapping up last weekend: Stanford Invitational

In the interest of record-keeping, here are the final, official results from our proud contingent of Running Red Foxes at last week’s Stanford Invitational. Clearly, it was a mixed bag of results for our program. But it was also good that we have established our presence at another national-caliber meet out West. The past two years, we participated at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, CA, an event we have enjoyed and hope to return to in the future. Now, this meet is an early-season option for us as well. Sorry for the lack of splits, none were made available to me.

Of note statistically: Quimes DelaCruz’s strong early season time in the steeplechase ranks him 36th nationally and 10th in the East Region, which comprises the entire eastern half of the United States. Clearly, he will have to improve his time to maintain a decent ranking. But it’s a good start. We are glad to have our team members back with us, and we look forward to the rest of the season.
