In what has become a MAAC Outdoor Championships tradition, Mike Rini (shown with me here) was our bus driver for the weekend. Mike is THE MAN. He loves our program and is loyal to our athletes. The MAAC meet represents the final time we will be boarding a JTR Transportation bus for the school year -- our final championship meets involve a handful of athletes that can be transported via van or automobile. Because all of our competitions are AWAY, we get to know the JTR drivers very well and we get along with them well. The drivers have commented that they enjoy transporting our athletes because they are nice and respectful. Which is the way it should be, really. Mike took time on Sunday to check out some of the meet.
When he's not supporting us on the road, he can generally be found at whatever regional Harley store is in the area, as his passion for motorcycles is great. He's also a big fan of TGIFriday's restaurants, and we had dinner there together on Saturday night. We look forward to having Mike back with us next year at outdoor MAACs and any other meets that he may be assigned to our program. It's how we roll.
