Notes from the chilly track

I’m not going to lie: I was a bit concerned about today’s track practice.

For the first time in a long time, the whole track family – men’s and women’s sprints, men’s distance, women’s distance, middle distance – was at the track and working hard, at the same time. Yikes! Holy clogged up lanes, Batman!

Toss in a random steeplechase barrier workout to add to the chaos …

As usually happens, it all worked out. Everyone stayed out of everyone’s way, for the most part. The sprinting sprinters snuck up on some folks with their lightning-fast speed. But there were no crashes, and a whole lot of quality workouts. Great to see.

It was chilly and cloudy, but thankfully not a ton of wind, out at the Vassar Track. Good to go.
