Back at it

Our athletes have started trickling in for winter intersession training. This week, a large portion of our team will be remaining at home and not arriving back to campus until after Friday's meet. Our first foray to the Vassar track for 2020 was with freshman Paul Sandford (yeah, he took that odd shaped selfie on the left), who had to get his workout in before heading down to work at our friends at Fleet Feet Poughkeepsie. While these photos may look like I'm freezing cold and in a bad mood and I'm going to complain about the conditions, I'm not going to do that here! Here's the thing: The ability to get on an outdoor track -- any outdoor track -- on January 7 is a true blessing. Yes, there are icebergs on each corner of the track, the result of recent snowfall being plowed off the turf field. But we were able to make it work -- for Paulie midday and for the rest of the crew at 2p. And away we go.
