Guys: Here's the plan for this week, further workout details to be given at practice.
Monday: Timed fartlek for those racing Mets. Probably at DCC track again.
Tuesday: Track workout at Spackenkill for those racing Princeton on Friday.
Wednesday: Track workout at Spackenkill for those racing Mets on Saturday.
Thursday: Regular distance/strides for Mets racers; pre-meet day for Princeton racers.
Friday: Meet at Princeton for several guys; pre-meet day for everyone else. Van leaves at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday: Meet at Mets (in New Jersey). Bus departure, 6:45 a.m. (may change to earlier, but we'll see once we get the field order of events).
Sunday: Long run at 9 a.m., as usual.
A note on the weather: It's going to be a nice week. Maybe too nice. It will start off cool and get progressively warmer as the week goes on. I know we'll all enjoy the warmth. Just make sure you are STAYING HYDRATED. Specifically, make sure to REHYDRATE as soon as you are done running or working out, with sports/replacement drink. Our bodies are not quite ready for 70 and sunny. But I think we'll adjust rather quickly. It's better than 40 and rainy.
