It's not particularly cold out there -- about 18 degrees as I type this, about average for an early morning in January -- but it sure is icy. We had a messy storm yesterday, snow, sleet, freezing rain, rain. And now? Most of the world in our parts is covered by a thin sheen of ICE. The morning jog with Artie this morning was a tap dance through frozen slush, black ice and generally other unpleasant footing conditions. Fortunately, we are so slow that slipping wasn't a major hazard. I would trade this slick footing for dry roads and subzero temperatures. Yeah. It's January.
