In one of the more remarkable stretches in recent memory, our hard-working sprint crew put together four consecutive heat (section) victories in the 400-meter dash on Friday afternoon. It was incredible and it was thrilling. And oh yeah, the ladies ran really fast! Here's how it went ...
Section 19: Danisha Craig, first place, 59.96 seconds
Section 20: Molly Weeks, first place, 59.92 seconds
Section 21: Courtney Cartwright, first place, 1:00.58
Section 22: Alexandra Hernandez, first place, 1:01.57; Olivia Jaquith, second place, 1:01.69.
This, of course, was a delightful omen of things to come a few hours later on the Magic Carpet ...
