The new Hayward Field is space-age modern and ultra-cool. Photos cannot do it justice. Lauren and Kayla did a practice walk from Hayward while Chuck and I got a lay of the land on Agate Street in Eugene. This place is truly amazing. We'll be back there tonight for some track action (might even see a Very Loyal Marist Running Alum in attendance too?). The weather is quite nice right now, with the intense heat scheduled to arrive in a few days.

A wonderful achievement by female athletes--- at a Division 1 college that supports and actually "knows something" about Racewalking- nice to have Pete and Chuck giving the athletes the chance to shine.
The photo was taken at the end of the stadium with one of the SHOTPUT sectors in the background (there are two SP throwing circles at Hayward)-- one of these sectors was the location for Ryan Crouser's WORLD RECORD in men's shotput, June 18, 2021- 23.37m.
