Normally, this texted photo from senior Boushra Belkhir would be posted on the blog as one of those "oh look our team is training hard on spring break" posts. And in some regards, technically, this is true! Boushra, Denise, Emily and Alyssa ARE on Spring Break (at Alyssa's home in North Carolina) and they ARE training hard in this on-the-move selfie. But beyond that, everything else about this mid-March scene and post is most definitely not business as usual. These ladies can return to Poughkeepsie, because they all live off campus. But the Marist they will be returning to will be a ghost town, as all campus residences have been shuttered for the remainder of the semester, with all classes moving to distance learning. And of course, there is no track season this spring. None of this makes us unique. It's the new "business as usual" unfortunately. But hey, as of now, we can still run outside, and thus give a new meaning to "social distancing" ...
