While I was in Pittsfield on Saturday, my phone blew up with
texts and photos from Long Island, where Marist Running’s past, present and
future convened at the Commack Ambulance Run for Your Life 5K. Proud alum and
good friend Ned Kenyon ran 21:01.35 and placed fourth in the EMS/Fire/Police/Veterans
division (Ned is a NYPD police officer). Rising junior James Moehringer
(16:15.48) won the race. Rising freshman Dan Czop (16:53.10) was third and
rising sophomore Brendan Zeng (17:43.83) was fourth. Czop and Zeng are Commack
High School alums. Very cool to see the generations together in a race.
