Winterized

The past few weeks, we (well, mostly ME) have bemoaned the fact that the bathrooms near the Vassar College track had been “winterized” and were no longer in use. For a dedicated coffee drinker (and middle-age man who frequents the restrooms), this is never welcome news. Would that this be our only problem with practicing at the Vassar track now! These days, it’s not just the bathrooms that have been winterized; the entire mid-Hudson Valley has a nice, fresh blanket of snow. This means we have had our final track practice of 2019 at the Vassar track. Dang! Our indoor track season begins on Friday at Ocean Breeze. Some call this season “winter track” … and, well, it seems to be living up to THAT moniker as well. Never one to sulk, track captain Santosh Krishnan and his friend Brian Ciampa (a former journalism student of mine) built a snowman on their snow day. Tosh making the most of some unplanned free time (no classes at Marist today). Anyway? Here is our schedule for 2019-2020 indoors …
