Lab rats in action

As mentioned previously here, senior athletic training major Pat Deedy subjected his teammates to his AT capping project -- in effect, making them his lab rats. Well, the experiment concluded on Wednesday with a one-mile (yes, 1-mile, not 1,600-meter) time trial at the Vassar Track. Deedy snapped this photo of the guys from behind, in the interest of anonymity for his project. Freshman Eddie White blew it by looking back.

Here in the blogosphere, we are not bound by the ethics of the Scientific Method (my blog/my rules ... and oh yeah Deedy, as I type this the Yankees are beating the Red Sox ... so there), so we can gladly divulge the participants in the photo above: Freshman Spencer Johnson, freshman Brian Edsall, senior Doug Ainscow, freshman Nick Salamone, Eddie, and sophomore Omar Perez.

The experiment was a success (I think?) and it provided great training for the mostly long-distance group that participated. Having admitted that ... I think we are all glad it's over too. Here's hoping Deedy gets a good grade out of this!
