Track program fundraising

If you are an alum of the track or cross country programs, it is a safe bet that you received a Fancy Email from me through our Advancement Office, asking you to donate money to our program. All alums who are flagged as being former track or XC team members received an impressive blast email, thanks to our friends in Advancement. They did a really nice job of “dressing up” the email and making it far more presentable than I could have ever done.

Anyway! It is the first such fundraising initiative in two years; I try not to solicit donations too frequently. Far more valuable to me are the loyal alums – and family and friends -- who stay in touch with us and keep tabs on how the current athletes in our program are doing. However, if you are an alum or otherwise affiliated with the program, and you did not receive the email, and you would like to donate, you can do so in one of two ways:

1-Go to maristconnect.marist.edu/give and donate there. According to Advancement: The gift would be “other designation” and then where it says “direct my gift to” you would type in either “men’s track” or “women’s track” – whichever budget where you would like the donation deposited.
2-The “old school” way of writing a check made out to MARIST COLLEGE and mailing it to me at the McCann Recreation Center: Pete Colaizzo, Marist College, Track Office, McCann Center, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. In the memo, write in either “men’s track donation” or “women’s track donation” so that your contribution goes exactly where you want it to go.

Rest assured that if you donate, your money will go directly into our budget for use by the 2016 track team, to help defray travel and equipment costs – basically, to allow us to continue to do what we do, uninterrupted and in a high quality manner. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
