Friday's meet at Ocean Breeze had a bit of an unorthodox schedule, with two relays at the beginning of the meet -- the rarely-run 4x200 and the 4x800. For our women, both of these relay races were memorable. The 4x200 team obliterated the 16-year-old school record -- again, it's not run that frequently, but our ladies set a really strong standard for the future. One of our 4x200 runners asked Coach Horton what they needed to run in order to get the school record, and his very confident reply was "around the track." Sprint relay passes can be tricky but our ladies navigated them well. And then the all-freshmen 4x800 relay team had a convincing victory -- a great way for them to start their collegiate track career together. Nicely done, ladies!
