Spartan Regional Preview: Quick update

Just getting home from a long day and night at Ocean Breeze. The first meet of 2016 had some strong highlights -- a nice change of pace, as usually the first meet back after the holidays features desultory and uninspired results at best. Not so here! We had a school record in the rarely run women's 4x200 relay, a victory in the all-freshmen women's 4x800 relay, and a pair of individual victories in the men's (Dietrich Mosel) and women's (Mara Schiffhauer) 3km races. I will post complete results and splits later today. As I usually do on the rare occasions I am up this late, I like to quote an ancient Jethro Tull song: "It was a new day yesterday, but it's an old day now." Good night ...
