When you get to my age, worlds sometimes collide. Two old and good friends are now parents of our athletes -- Charlie Ropes, whose son Charlie is a senior on the men's team; Ken Bohan, whose daughter Shea is a freshman on the women's team. We are very much ensconced in middle age, the three of us.
From left: Charlie, with a back brace after his recent surgery; Old Coach, six months removed from hip surgery; Ken, three months removed from ankle and leg surgery.
We are the walking wounded, but we are still smiling and still standing. OK!
