A couple of stellar results from this big race in the Capital District:
--XC/track team captain Christine Coughlin placed second overall in the women's field in the 5K race in 18:27. There were a total of 2,133 women in the race. Christine was 35th overall out of 3,906 finishers. Great job!
--Marist Running and Crew Alum Lisa D'Aniello placed first in the 25-29 division in the 10K and eighth out of 664 in the women's field with a time of 39:49.
For those keeping score at home, the Troy Turkey Trot finishers' results mirrored a national trend: There were more women's finishers than men's finishers -- 664 of the 1,231 finishers in the 10K were women; 2,133 of 3,906 finishers in the 5K were women.
It was thrilling that our program had some of the Leading Ladies in the race.
