BU Season Opener: School record in women's high jump

Talk about setting the tone for a season! Competing in her first collegiate meet and in the first event of the day, at 10 a.m., freshman Fallon Quigley set the school record in the high jump with a leap of 1.57 meters (5 feet, 1.75 inches). Fallon cleared 1.57 meters on her third and final attempt at the height, and she placed sixth overall in the meet. She bettered the school record of 1.55 meters, set by Nicole Donadio way back in 2007. There is a reason this record has lasted so long. This is not an event that is easy to excel at in our program, due to our lack of facilities and ability to practice it. It should be noted as well that senior Siobhan Pokorney had a strong day in the high jump, clearing 1.47 meters (4 feet, 9.75 meters) and placing 10th overall. Nicely done, ladies!
