MAAC Indoor Championships: Meet highlights, men

On the men's side, here were the highlights from the MAAC meet:

--Senior sprinter Jesse Aprile placed seventh in a highly competitive 200-meter dash and equaled his school record in the event with a time of 22.71. What a great way for Jesse to end his indoor track career. Nicely done!
--Sophomore hurdler Alex Cunningham emphatically put an end to an injury plagued indoor season by running two breakthrough, personal-best races in one night. In the preliminary round, Alex ran a personal-best time of 8.37 seconds and advanced to the final. In the final, he bettered that time to 8.30 and placed fourth overall.
--Equaling that fourth-place finish as the highest individual for us in the meet was junior captain David Marthy. In a bruising 800-meter race, David powered his way to a hard-earned fourth-place finish in 1:53.29. The time was a second off his school record, but his race was phenomenal.

This meet generally leaves us wanting for more in terms of team standings and individual performances, and tonight was no different. We continue to work hard and move forward.
