Lafayette Rider Winter Games: Getting there

Considering the amount of snow we got with this storm yesterday, last night and early this morning, it is remarkable that we got to today's meet at the Armory. Even more remarkable is that the only event we missed was the 60-meter dash, and all our entrants in that event were entered in other events later in the day. So, everyone who made the trip today got to race. We are thankful to our friends at Rider University -- assistant coach and meet director Brett Harvey, and head coach Bob Hamer -- for their graciousness in understanding our plight. They made a difficult day easier, and we were pleased to be able to support their meet for the first time.

Yes, it has been a long day, but getting our athletes on a quality facility like The Armory is worth the effort. We'll look forward to being back down there in a week for the MAAC Championships.
