Friday was our first journey to Minnewaska State Park, west
of New Paltz, and the weather was lovely: Low humidity, relatively cool and
shady in the awesome carriage trails. Only one minor casualty, a young man who
was a bit overzealous and took a nasty spill but still finish his 11-miler. We
won’t embarrass our young, up-and-coming star, but he’s a sophomore from Connecticut named Palmer.
