This shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who know me, but
I’m not a big fan of over-the-top celebrations in sports – stylin’ … or
whatever other names that can be attached to such behavior. At the end of our thrilling
men’s DMR victory at the MAAC Indoor Championships the other night, anchor leg
James Moehringer let his emotions take over and he celebrated the extremely
rare victory for our men’s program. Normally, this would be frowned upon. But
if you know Moe like we do, you know that there was zero showboat and 100
percent pure joy in his reaction. Coaches from other MAAC schools went out of
their way to say how cool they thought the victory was. We agreed! Again, we
don’t condone the kind of showboating you see in the NFL and other professional
sports. Moe’s was different, entirely appropriate, and pretty awesome to see. This
photo was posted on armorytrack.com and we are proud to display it here.
