I thought of this item this morning: Our men's 4x400 relay ran really well at Monmouth. Although the time wasn't that quick, the guys RACED tremendously in conditions that were far from ideal for sprinters (or for anyone, for that matter!).
It was getting dark. The wind was whipping. The temperature was approaching 30 degrees. I do not have the individual splits (my hands were numb at that point), but all the guys raced well and strong, and I know that Coach Horton was pumped at the positive end to the otherwise endless day in New Jersey.
I will post splits soon.
