Fastrack Last Chance: Women's result and splits

With all of our ECAC qualifiers taken care of already, we were planning a very small crew of women’s athletes for tonight’s meet at Ocean Breeze. That crew got even smaller with an illness bug that is swirling around our women’s team. How small? It became reduced to one (1!) athlete – sophomore Alyssa Lafave in the 3,000. Alyssa was a great “team” all her own, as she placed second in the 3,000 in a monstrous personal-best time of 10:13.12 – topping her previous best in the event by more than 25 seconds. She ran a strong and powerful race, moving up through the field with each lap, and she finished with a strong kick. Nicely done, “team!”
