In one of the more remarkable twists in recents memory, at last Sunday's school-record 4x400 relay at ECACs, the third leg from our Marist team (Julie Cristinzio) received the baton and almost the identical (get it?) time as the third leg for the St. Joseph's team (Stephanie Cristinzio). Yes. They are sisters. Yes. They are twin sisters. Yes. They are identical twin sisters! While they didn't run identical relay splits, both ran their fastest 400-meter splits ever (57.91 for Stephanie and 59.86 for Julie). In Julie's case, it was almost two seconds faster than she has ever run and along with the other breakthrough efforts by our ladies made for a perfect ending to a wonderful indoor season. Neat.
