Our penultimate cross country meet of the season is the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. For the first time in meet history, this year's meet will be held on Friday. This meet had always been a Saturday meet, since its inception in this format in 1997. The impending snowy weather reminds me of that first year, at Franklin Park in Boston, when an autumn snow/ice storm left the Franklin Park course a muddy, icy and snowy mess. Race times for Friday are as follows.
Women's Championship 6k: Noon
Men's Championship 10k: 1:15 p.m.
Both races are at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison, CT.
