Today was a good day in our universe. It was sunny and incredibly warm for the end of October. And great timing! As we planned a track team time trial "meet" at the Vassar Track. Coach Horton even summoned our good friend Ken Kraft to fire off a starting gun in the three races -- 150-meter dash, 300-meter dash, 600-meter run. We had music, full team support, fast times and good vibes. And! We had a special, unexpected visit from Marist Running Royalty Conor Shelley (the Original Dumbass!), who was in town on business. Conor mixed easily with our current team members and noted that the "velocity" of the team got a bit faster from when he was here (translation: we have a lot more sprinters!). Conor even hung around and spoke with the XC men who are preparing for Saturday's MAAC Championship as we had a brief planning and goal-setting meeting. Highly neat all around.
