Swearing in

It was a casual comment during the banter of our 7-mile jog on New Year’s morning. Schneider mentioned that he had to be at Town Hall for a swearing in ceremony. He’s one of the morning group we now officially call the “Hyde Park Early Birds” (see shirt from Christmas party at Schneider’s house a few weeks ago). Schneider was being sworn in for his fifth term as a town councilman in Hyde Park. Upon successful completion of his term, he will be the longest serving town councilman in town government history. That’s pretty cool. I stopped by to see “government in action” as our boy was sworn in for another term on New Year’s Day. Pretty neat. Here’s hoping we can have many more miles together in the predawn darkness.
