High school singlet day

Because of some unforeseen wintry weather on Tuesday morning, our traditional "last workout of the XC season" for men -- a return to the Mills Hills, where we start the season -- had to be preempted. Rather than travel up to Mills today, we decided to coalesce a larger part of the team -- men's and women's sprinters, middle distance runners and the men's XC guys -- on the Vassar track. Hogue decided to make it a "theme" day for the XC men -- wear your high school singlet day! To quote a long-ago college acquaintance who used to ask us, "do you play track?" ... today, we were "playing track," having fun out there and enjoying each other's company with, in some cases, some retro style uniforms (top, all who wore them; bottom, seniors). It brightened up an otherwise overcast and chilly November afternoon at the track. Neat.
