Spencer Johnson wins Surf City Marathon: 2:39:05

Congratulations to Marist Running Alum Spencer Johnson (now living in San Diego) for an outstanding and dominant victory Sunday at the Surf City Marathon at Huntington Beach, CA. Spencer ran 2:39:05 and won the race by more than seven minutes. Nicely done, Spencer. Here is his race report and splits, sent via text:

The second half of the race was directly into the wind which made it difficult and the course was filled with sand/water that came up from the beach and rain … it was hard running alone but a good experience and had fun with it!
