Weather geek update: Thunder snow!

Pretty significant snowstorm raging right now here and probably where YOU are as well. The weather geek highlight of the day: Thunder snow at around 6 a.m. Thunder during a snowstorm is a rather rare occurrence -- in weather geek speak, has something to do with "convection" and "tightly packed isobars." Basically, it's an intense weather pattern, one that is dumping a lot of snow in a short amount of time in these parts. The good news? It's supposed to taper down very soon and very quickly. Hopefully, we'll be able to get out of town tomorrow, heading to Boston for the David Hemery/Valentine Invitational at BU. The order of events has been posted, but the time schedule has not been updated to reflect the entries. If and when that is posted, I'll share it here with you. And, we'll update with results and splits throughout the weekend. OK!
