Congrats to Marist Running Alum Louis
Caporale for his excellent finish at the Sybil Ludington 50-kilometer run in
his old stomping grounds of Carmel on Saturday. Louis lives in Stormville,
where the big and hilly one-loop course goes through; I ran Sybil twice during
the mid-1990s and it remains among my favorite races of them all. Louis
finished fourth overall in 4:07:28 (7:57 pace). Not bad for a sleep-deprived
40-year-old with young children. Nicely done, Louis!
