Thanks to Cuesta for sending me this post-DMR photo of senior mid distance maven Mark Vuono, who now holds the distinction of having run a leg of the DMR in each of his four years with the Running Red Foxes. In fact, we as a coaching staff cannot recall a time where Vuono said "no" when the question was, "Hey Mark, can you give us a leg on the (fill in the blank) relay?" And the amazing thing about Vuono is, he can run ANY relay leg really well -- any leg of the DMR, 4x800 or 4x400. Never-say-no Vuono ... always at home with a relay baton in his hand ... and always the first to help in a relay. His split today on the 800 leg? 1:57.999. Nicely done!
